Abstract
Glad she continues to stay with Robert Morris family, because of the amiability of that household and the danger in which her family home at Elizabethtown is constantly subjected to. Forget about the portrait, as insisting upon obtaining it will only give the artist an inflated idea of his own importance. Let Mr. Morris judge how good the portrait is, and if it is worth obtaining, pay the artist a reasonable sum for it. A deleted portion of this draft mentions Sir James Jay.
