- Abstract
- Thanks him for letter of 6 March 1786, and assures him that he will ever remember d'Yranda's attention to him (Jay) and his country. Has transmitted to Congress d'Yranda's recommendation as to the appointment of consuls to Spain, but does not know whether they will be induced to depart from their resolutions on that subject.
