- Abstract
- Quotes in full his letter of 31 March which has offended Peter. His meaning was not to accuse but to correct, as he would have any one of his children. Peter's reply was undoubtedly written in irritation; were it the result of deliberation, Jay "should view it as a Contrivance, and not a very neat one, to get rid of a little unprofitable business."
