Abstract
Received a copy of the Biographical Dictionary. From the manner in which the articles are written and the liberal spirit which invades them, he wishes the work had been less compendious, and that a second edition may be undertaken. The remarks in the preface deserve the attention of biographers. The tenth volume of the Historical Collections should be sent in care of Peter Augustus Jay in New York.
