Title
[Document, 1827 December n.d.]
Abstract
John Jay requests that Platt be informed that although he does not doubt the testimony of Judge Benson in the case of Mr. Astor, he does not now remember seeing the papers in question. On his return from Europe in 1784 he heard of the marriage settlement referred to and believes Governor. Livingston was the counselor; cannot give any information on the lease mentioned.
