Abstract
Thanks the Common Council for the medal in commemoration of the completion of the Erie Canal and the copy of Colden's memoir on New York canals. We should rejoice in the prosperity of our state and country; it is advisable that thankfulness, wisdom and virtue be constantly promoted and advanced.
