Asks McHenry's help in obtaining information for the Bishop of London, Dr.
Porteus. The Bishop's elder brother Edmund Porteus died in 1752 in Maryland, leaving his
farm there to his widow. After her death it was to go to his brother the Bishop in fee,
and Jay wishes to know the present state of affairs along with any advice or remarks
McHenry might de em useful.
