Abstract
As the times are such that men may be misrepresented, he has reduced this communication to writing, even though he sees Remsen every day. While he has been very pleased with Remsen's performance of his official duties, Jay needs a Secretary who will be in constant attendance, an arrangement which Remsen's more lucrative business renders inappropriate.
