Abstract
It is uncertain when the family will leave Liverpool, as Mrs. Jay (Augusta) has declined in health. Thanks him for the "Tribune." It contains much that is disgraceful and ominous to our country. Feels abashed when men in England allude to the news from America. Asks that Sumner be assured of his admiration and sympathy.
