Sends him the pamphlets entitled "The Friends of Peace," numbers 1, 2, and
3, and "The Solemn Review of the Custom of War" at the author's request. Would like to
have John Jay's sentiments on the subject to be published in a future issue of the first
title. Peace Societies have been formed in Boston and New York, and reports from England
indicate the same are likely to be formed there. This perhaps indicates that the time
when wars shall cease everywhere is not far distant. Also encloses a copy of the
constitution of the New York Sunday School Union Society.
