- Abstract
- Hamilton's rank is still liable to question; the relative rank of officers should be decidedly ascertained and acknowledged. Approves the integrity that induced Pickering to oppose the appointment of "a certain Candidate" and suspects the President was not fully informed of the objections to the nomination. Would like a copy of the acts passed during the late session of Congress to be laid before t he Legislature.
