Abstract
Family news. It is believed there that Clinton will be elected. It is said, without confirmation, that the French have evacuated Portugal and lost 15,000 men in their retreat. Bitter and violent dissensions take place among some of the Episcopal clergy in the city. Mr. Jones has published a pamphlet against Mr. Hobart to defeat the election of the latter for bishop.
