- Has not yet been able to settle with Captain Bogart, but has been assured that the Captain will pay by tomorrow. Will inform Mr. Foot that John Jay wants his money by next May. Mr. Vail has not yet paid Banyer the balance due John Jay. Is glad to hear that John Jay is in good health, and would like to hear that Peter has arrived safely.
