Abstract
Did not authorize Hallet to make a conclusive bargain concerning the coach. What should be done with Phillis? Considering her behavior, she probably should be sold for a term of two years to be manumitted at the end of the term. Jay is afraid his family will be considered responsible to support her for life, since she has such a wayward disposition.
