Abstract
Sends acts of Congress of June 5 and 18 respecting bills of exchange for 2,400,000 livres tournois and 432,000 livres interest drawn on Franklin in favor of Beaumarchais. Congress would like to have paid him in produce but it was impossible. Jay hopes Franklin will be able to discharge these drafts punctually. If there are any difficulties you will have enough time to contact Congress who will exer t all means in their power to prevent loss to Beaumarchais.
