- Abstract
- Copy of document 7666 entirely in code. Rendon asks Morris to have La Luzerne join with him in urging the Governor of Havana to accept the bills. Tells him that Don Diego Josef Navarro has left Havana with the convoy of warships and merchant ships carrying treasure. Morris's letter should be directed to the Captain General of Cuba, and if he writes to an individual, the letter should bear the notat ion that it should be opened by his representative. Enclosure in Morris's letter to Jay of 19 July, document 7009.
