- Abstract
- Letterbook copy of document 7005. Proposals for taking care of the American seamen arriving from captivity at Cadiz, who have put Jay to a good deal of expense. John Jay should authorize his agent at Cadiz to send these men to the United States, where they will be paid when they arrive. It would be a good idea to purchase vessels for this service. Encloses a copy of letter to Huntington of this dat e (document 7004) on urgency of a Spanish loan.
