- Abstract
- He has taken every possible precaution concerning the shipment of foodstuffs. However he has noted that it is customary to permit empty barrels to stand in the sun, baking into the wood the impurities of the previous contents. Also, the barrels are roughly handled by the wagoners. He has already taken steps to correct these matters.
