Tenders resignation as Deputy Commissary General of Musters because of ill health. Will continue in office until a successor can take over. Makes request for higher subsistence money for muster officers whose duties put them at the mercy of "rapacity and extortion of inn-keepers and others," while travelling and whose duties even while stationary deprive them of several usual sources of supplies. A sks that successor be names to Lieutenant Colonel North who has retired.
