Abstract
The deponent says he knows the land belonging to Messrs. Hassen clever & Co. at Ringwood and Long Pond. He was present at a survey of this land. He was informed that it contained 10,600 acres, and that at one time, between 300 - 400 people, some of whom paid taxes to New Jersey, were employed on it. Some of these workmen lived in houses erected for them by the proprietors of these works. All the pe rsons but one mentioned on the exhibits the deponent examined were householders. Signed, Dennis Morris, his mark. In Jay's hand.
