Abstract: He has been required to make immediate arrangements for the cleaning of some small arms that were damaged by water, and this will, in part, be reimbursed by insurance. Suggestions as to the proper method of mounting cannon at Governor's Island. It would be wise for the legislature to make an annual appropriation for the procurement and maintenance of armament.
