(Filed with this letter) His son was imprisoned at Natchez for reading a newspaper; he is schemed against by James Elliot, a trader at Natchez, and as a result has been thrown into prison. While being taken into custody the young man said things in passion which his prior actions negate. Solicits the assistance of Congress in obta ining his release.
