Document, 1800 July 10
Abstract:
Money loaned to Major Lyon belongs Maria and Nancy; the securities are John Jays. Speak to Mark about the house he has in New York; John Jay wishes to divide the land he holds in common with him. The land is mistakenly said to be in Ontario; it is in Oneida. "The reason why the Plaintiffs recovered in the Pound Ridge causes is so conclusive and obvious that the event cannot affect you." Shall send for accounts of exemplification and forward them. His uncle paid for PeterÆs encyclopedia; he should remember to thank him for the mark of attention. William hurt is finger but is now well; Sarah Livingston Jay remains feeble.
