- Abstract
- Defends authenticity of speech, purporting to have been made by Lord Dorchester to a deputation of Indians, which he, John Fay, has published. Encloses extracts from Canadian friend who forwarded letter to him. Thinks Dorchester did not intend speech to be published in States and so was a bit more intemperate than usual. Settlement with "Canada Mails" almost completed.
