- Asks whether del Campo has received instructions to begin negotiations with Jay. Jay ready and anxious to begin talks. Seeks passports for Henry Brockholst Livingston and Stephen Codman, who plan to sail to America by way of Cadiz. Reminds del Campo that he has dined with Livingston at the Jay home in Madrid. Codman, a member of a respectable Boston family, goes to Cadiz to attend to one of his shi ps which has just arrived laden with coca from Caracas. Autograph Letter signed in English with docket in Spanish.
