Abstract
The Jays are cheerful and happy in Spain but miss their friends and country. They go soon to the beautiful city of Aranjuez but it is not like America. Here there are soldiers everywhere to keep the people in line. Our country happier if less magnificent. There is good society here but prudence demands constant caution. With a few good and wise reigns Spain could be a powerful nation. The indecisio n of the court concerning America has kept many from being friendly with us. Jay has no enemies here of his own making.
