- Abstract
- Having heard that Daniel Clarck and other inhabitants of the land near Tappan Creek are being disturbed in the lawful possession of their lands by persons from the Government of East New Jersey, Menny Johannes, High Sherriff of Orange County is to apprehend and secure those persons if they continue to disturb the peace, and bring them before Dongan at New York. This letter will serve Johannes as a warrant. From the New York Secretary's Office, Book of Entries 1684-1686. Examined by Goldsbrow Banyar. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey 21 September 1769.
