Copy of General Order. Land surveyed for Sir Thomas Lane, Paul
Dockminiaue, Edward Richer et al. Of the West Jersey Society is part of the addition to
the second division of East Jersey in Bergen County, beginning on the west side of the
Hudson by the land of George Lockhart, deceased, to Checke Brook and upstream to the
land of Balthazar De Hart deceased to the Hudson River. It contains, after allowance for
barren land and highways, three thousand six hundred acres. From the Surveyor General's
Office, Perth Amboy, Book O, 232. Examined by John Thomson; entered before the New
York-New Jersey Boundary Commission, 24 August 1769
