Abstract:
The Duke of York's letter of 25 November [1672] concerning New Jersey was read, as was a letter from Lord Berkeley and Sir George Carteret about New Jersey affairs. Colonel Nicolls's patients for Elizabeth Town and Nevisands [sandts] having been made void by the Duke, and this having been objected to by a letter from the Proprietors to Colonel Nicolls stating that the patients confronted before Captain Philip Carteret's arrival, the council advised that a statement of the case be returned to the Duke of York. From the New York Secretary's Office, Lib. Minutes of the Council 1668/1678. Examined by Goldsbrow Banyar. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey 23 August 1769.
