Abstract
Appoints during his will and pleasure Major Edmund Andros Lieutenant and Governor of the lands given to him by Charles II. These lands extend from St. Croix near Nova Scotia to Pemaquid, northward to the Kennebec River and the River Canada, and southward along the ocean to the east side of the Delaware Bay, including Long Island, "Martins Vinyard", and Nantucket. All inhabitants of these lands shal l give obedience to Edmund Andros according to the tenure of the Letters Patent of Charles II and such orders as Andros shall receive from time to time from James Duke of York. >From the Secretary's Office, New York, Lib. Records both Foreign and Domestic, 4. Examined by Goldsbrow Banyar. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey 31 July 1769.
