- Abstract
- William Bogardus, admitted Notary of New York City by Colonel Lovelace, certifies that Assowakon, Sachem of Tappen, et al., on behalf of Sesnigkam et al., declare that the said tract is sold to Beltazer D. Hart, and to have received in exchange for it ten Indian coats, three skeeples of white peas, two half vats of strong beer, one and one half measures of rum, on pistol, ten "Bread Writeings," and twenty five guilders in wampum, which they acknowledge to be fully satisfactory. From the Public Records of the Province of New Jersey,I, 115, Examined by Bowes Reed and John Thomson. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey 31 July 1769.
