Autograph Letter signed in Spanish enclosing a copy of Jay's receipt for
funds received from Gardoqui, 29 May. Jay's receipt lists funds received from Gardoqui
at the order of the Court of Spain, 1 January, 28 February, 6 March, 28 April, and 9 May
1781. Jay used these funds to pay two bills drawn on him by Richard Harrison for
clothing purchased at C adiz and bills presented by courts of France and Spain to
Congress.
