Abstract
Confirms to William Penn, son of Sir William Penn, deceased, the town of Newcastle, otherwise called Delaware, and all the land lying within compass of 12 miles for a yearly payment to the Duke of York, his heirs and assigns the sum of five shillings of lawful English money on the feast of St. Michael the Archangel. Also appoints John Moll and Ephriam Harman of Newcastle, both lawful attorneys, to act in the place of the Duke of York to insure quiet and peaceable possession of the land according to the true intent of the grant. From the New York Secretary's Office, Lib. A, Entries of Letters Patent etc., 34 Examined by Goldsbrow Banyar. Entered before the Commission to settle the boundary between New York and New Jersey. 1 August 1769.
