Abstract
Located in the "1795 Letterbook" Has recvd letter of 24 August. Your son wrote from Philadelphia on intention of coming to New York City, but epidemic has prevented this so far. Comments on motives of those who oppose the Treaty. Those who oppose it will seek to gain majority in House of Representatives in the next Session. Peace in Europe and a stable French constitution are to benefit of the Unit ed States.
