Title
Document, 1821 March 13
Abstract
Has seen volume 5 of Duane's edition of Franklin's works. Surprized to see references to his own and Adams's "Journals." Cites quotations from these supposed journals. Mentions having queried Adams as to any journals which Adams kept in 1782-83. Denies existence of any journals kept by himself. Specifically denies knowledge of supposed incident cited on p. 291 of the volume in question which purports to report facts concerning Sir Williams Jones. Asks Duane what he means by these supposed "Journals."
