Abstract
Will be taking a trip tomorrow. He is unable to work at home with all his sad reflections and hopes a change of air will improve him. When he returns in a month, wishes John Jay to introduce him to M. Abeitte, as he had promised. Also would like Jay's notes on several branches of their commerce and of some foreign countries. In addition, would like him to return the table (of figures) before he lea ves, as he wishes his son to rewrite some of the columns and figures in a larger hand. Thanks Jay for the "English papers" he received; is returning them with this letter for the amusement of other amateurs. In French.
