A short letter because Jay lacks health and leisure for more. Morris and Duane will see Livingston soon and give him the news from Philadelphia. Sends a letter to Council of Appointment resigning his office. Gives no reasons in the letter. Is willing to sit in the assembly except for city and county of New York. Does not want to sit in the Senate.
