Abstract:
Copy of Governor William BurnetÆs Commission as Governor of New York, after revocation of Robert HunterÆs commission by King George. Sets up his responsibility and manner of governance for the province. Among others: must uphold laws of trade and can call the General Assembly from time to time with the consent of the Council. Includes clause of Governor BurnetÆs Commission, concerning the election of members of the General Assembly.
