Abstract
A report to the Lords of the Committee of Council for Plantation Affairs on the claim of a Frenchman named Lotbiniere to two tracts of land in upper New York near Lakes Champlain and Lake George. In an enclosed letter to Lt. Governor of New York it is recommended that no grant be made until copies of the grants are obtained from the Governor of Quebec. It was also recommended to the Lords of the Co mmittee that the plea not be countenanced since this land was British under the Treaty of Utrecht, long before the supposed grant to the said Lotbiniere.
