Abstract
The clergy of this country seem determined that "the dead Bodies of the witnesses shall not be put into Graves." The credibility of Dr. Robinson's book derives force from the extinction of religion and morals in France. The most active enemies are the advocates of the new Philosophy in Europe and America. The Protestants concur in considering the Pope as the antichrist mentioned in the Scriptures, but he does not fit the description given by St. John. The plague in New York this year may be a scourge as the city has never been so clean. This country may be chastised, "and we deserve it; but I am yet to believe that we shall be ruined."
