- Abstract
- Jay's letter of his activities in Spain between October 1781 and April 1782 read in Congress. We can expect nothing from that quarter. Jay has been placed in the difficult position of even having to protest bills. Only France through Franklin saved him. He is now in Paris for the negotiation of peace with England.
