Annotation on back: In districts like this, tuberculosis breeds faster than cockroaches on tramp steamers. Into such districts AICP sends nurses and caseworkers to break the vicious circle of illness, unemployment and poverty that serve as interacting cause and effect of one another. Last year 1,066 families were cared for by the Tuberculosis Division, 110 infants threatened with tuberculosis received special care at Chelsea Day Nursery.
