- Summary
- Sends Henry an act of Congress of May 7 providing further for the defense of Georgia and South Carolina and for facilitating the provision of clothes for the Virginia troops. At least, the clothes will arrive as soon as possible. Sends a copy of a letter from Washington indicating the embarkation of troops at New York possibly destined for the southern states. The rescue of the convention troops may possibly be their object and Henry is at liberty if he thinks necessary to remove them further into the country.
