- Summary
- Marbois called on Jay to ask if Congress had yet taken any action on his memorials. Also said France would push the Longchamps case further. Wanted all the papers related thereto returned to him. Wants Congress to pass resolutions asserting the rights of ministers and recommending that the states pass laws to punish violations of them. If they are passed they could be sent to King of France to relieve his mind of uneasiness.
