- Summary
- Sends a copy of French ordinance on foreign commerce with French West Indies. New ports opened to foreign ships of 60 or less tons carrying certain products. Only sirup and rum and products from France can be carried to foreign ports from these islands. New officers of customs to be sent to these islands to handle this trade and instructions and regulations for all foreign ships outlined. If produce discovered that is on ship board and is not to be taken from the island the ship can be seized and fine imposed. More free ports may be opened in the future.
