Summary
Has considered the suggestion offered in Vaughan's letter offered by Franklin, i.e., that Jay's name be publicly attached to what he has written and which is being circulated in Pennsylvania. At first, because of his respect for Franklin, Jay thought this might be best course, but upon consideration has decided it is best to continue the publication anonymously. New York convention, so far, has proceeded with "temper and deliberation."
