In fact they advocate a more northerly boundary than any of the parties had contemplated. Convention Lafayette mentioned disbanded for lack of success but another is assembled, and states begin to send distinguished men to represent them. Frontiers still at peace, Massachusetts insurrection seems to be suppressed. As to Barbary States- question is war or tribute- Jay prefers war.
