- Summary
- Spirit of discontent very much alive among us. The people are uneasy and do not know which way to turn. There will be changes in our legislature and thinks Benson will lose his seat. Never was there a greater compound of folly, avarice and impolicy than in our confiscation bill. Morris and Schuyler will be left out of the next legislature. Has tried to get Morris to appear in public to dissipate prejudices against him.
