- Summary
- The money for New York being sent under proper protection; also copies of the New York Constitution recovered and a copy of the treaty with France. The treaty grounded on equality. Ethan Allen has presented his papers to Congress from the State of Vermont. This move is directed to show that the towns on the east side of the Connecticut River have revolted and separated from the towns on the west side of the river. However, two days later Colonel Wheelock presented papers from the same towns to show that Allen had no authority to make such a declaration. The delegates agree with Clinton's ideas on defense of the frontiers.
