Summary
Washington encloses extracts of letters from Hatfield to McDougall, from Clark, St. Clair, McDougall, and Gates to Washington. Lord Stirling and Baron DeKalbare bound for Pompton. Washington is setting out for the Highlands in order to prepare the army in case of enemy movement. Washington hopes that Congress will order that Gates be supplied with money, for it would be dangerous to risk discontent among his troops. In the hand of Alexander Hamilton.
